Therapeutic Play

'Toys are used like words by children, and play is their language.' Landreth, 2012

The benefits of therapeutic play and play-based counselling are endless. The therapeutic use of play helps children express their experiences using puppets, artwork, music and movement, sandtray, clay, games and therapeutic stories. Therapeutic Play helps children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behaviour, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve optimal growth and development.

warm, safe, and relaxed environment that

is accepting and confidential.
