Supporting new possibilities

for children, youth, adults and families

Due to COVID-19, all therapy sessions will be provided by phone or video only.

How are you?

Are you feeling stuck and need support navigating life’s challenges?

Are you dissatisfied with some

aspect of your life?

The Counselling Place offers a peaceful and confidential space in which to work through whatever challenges you are facing,

gain insight and work towards

meaningful change.

My approach is client-centred integrating modalities such as CBT and Traumatic Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR), with other evidenced-based interventions depending on the unique needs of the client.

I work collaboratively from a place of trust, providing support through life's transitions to help you discover new possibilities.

Therapeutic Play

'Toys are used like words by children, and play is their language.' Landreth, 2012

The benefits of therapeutic play and play-based counselling are endless. The therapeutic use of play helps children express their experiences using puppets, artwork, music and movement, sandtray, clay, games and therapeutic stories. Therapeutic Play helps children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behaviour, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve optimal growth and development.

warm, safe, and relaxed environment that

is accepting and confidential.
